- leading high profile MRC projects, inputting into new proposals and working with a range of supporting professional teams
- developing and managing funding schemes and initiatives, including involvement in relevant peer review of applications
- assisting senior colleagues in the review of research fields and the development and implementation of scientific initiatives and policy
- supporting the planning, development and establishment of engagement activities designed to increase MRC’s profile and strategic relationships with key external stakeholders ]
- preparing briefing documents, programme briefs, project initiation documents or equivalent, and business case among other documents, including identifying and mitigating risks, and supporting budget management and forecasting
