  • manage and support a team of three payroll administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • ensure compliance with current HMRC regulations, pension auto-enrolment, and other statutory requirements
  • handle complex client queries and provide expert payroll advice
  • maintain and update payroll systems and processes using Sage and Xero
  • review and approve payroll reports before submission to clients
  • liaise with clients, accountants, and external agencies as needed

Requirements

  • proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in a bureau or multi-client environment
  • strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
  • proficiency in Sage and Xero Payroll systems
  • previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • high attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
