Responsibility
- prepare financial information and management reports in compliance with Group policies and procedures within agreed timeframes
- generate ad hoc reports as required
- support the production of monthly profit and loss statements with relevant analysis to assess business performance
- conduct accurate and timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, highlighting any potential risks or opportunities to the Financial Controller
- ensure finance processes operate within agreed parameters
- engage in ad-hoc project work and reports
- produce monthly performance packs for key Franchisees and their Finance Business Partners
- assist in secure regular payment processes to Franchisees to ensure accurate and timely payments
Requirements
- as a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in meeting our financial objectives and support the implementation of our financial strategy
- LSL are one of the largest providers of services to mortgage intermediaries and franchised estate agencies and provide valuation services to many of the UK’s largest mortgage lenders
- we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join our Franchised Estate Agency Finance team and play a crucial role in supporting the department
- based within our Divisional head office in Newcastle upon Tyne, the role is offered on a Hybrid basis with the option of home and office working
- LSL is one of the largest providers of estate agency franchise services in the UK, supplying services to a network of over 300 branches across the UK
- these branches are independently managed and operated by 62 estate agency franchisees under various brands including Your Move, Reeds Rains, Intercounty, Frosts, JNP, Goodfellows, Davis Tate, Lauristons, Lawlors, Hawes & Co and Thomas Morris
