marketing communications manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • external Communications
  • continuously source opportunities to promote Motion and its services to broadcasters, networks, producers, and creatives
  • coordinate marketing materials in advance of major markets, checking for consistency, accuracy and credits, sending approvals or suggestions as appropriate
  • internal Communications
  • cultivate relationships with key press and public relations contacts for whom the role will be the first point of contact for media enquiries
  • coordinate approvals, amendments, and distribution of all Motion marketing, press and PR for North America , the UK, & EMEA, and work with the APAC and LATAM teams to help drive their communications and share their news externally and internally within GroupM and where applicable, WPP
  • manage the distribution of all internal Motion communications
  • work with the SMCM to establish and maintain a MarComms calendar setting out targeted launches of shows and initiatives as well as key events that Motion may wish to consider having a presence/ involvement including television shows/movie premieres and awards dates

Requirements

  • exemplary communications skills both written and verbal. Sufficient ability drafting press releases or newsletters should be evidenced
  • excellent project management skills, experienced at overseeing many projects simultaneously
  • A proven track record of delivering marketing and communications strategy is essential
  • have strong interest in, and good understanding of, the international broadcast landscape
  • must be willing to work toward learning and understanding Motion’s business objectives & strategy, and the nuances of how Motion wishes to communicate about its business
  • must be willing to work toward a full understanding of GroupM and WPP’s policy pertaining to communications including taking an active part in group MarComms routine meetings
  • discretion, as this role will often handle information of a highly confidential nature
