Responsibility
- we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join our childcare specialist business, Morton Michel
- you will have good administration and communication skills with the ability to develop business relationships
- you will conduct regular 1-2-1’s and monitor team performance in line with both individual and business performance metrics
- you will also be responsible for internal technical training and audits
- you will be dealing with renewals in line with agreed delegated underwriting authority guidelines
- you will handle underwriting queries and referrals in line with agreed delegated underwriting authority guidelines
- you will deal with colleagues’ queries face to face, via teams/ phone and emails within agreed SLA’s

Requirements
- you will have a minimum of 3 years appropriate previous insurance underwriting experience
- you will have minimum 3 years appropriate previous insurance underwriting experience
- you will have minimum 3 years appropriate previous insurance underwriting experience
- you will ideally be qualified Cert CII
- you will have experience of working within a regulated FCA environment
- you will be able to understand and implement ‘best practice’ in customer service
- you will be able to understand and implement ‘best practice’ in customer service, compliance systems and processes, and financial management
- you will have good experience using bespoke systems and MS Office Suite preferably Including Acturis
