- performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, and other vehicles in the company fleet
- performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes
- maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
- working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
- maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
- completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required
- A HGV licence would be advantageous

- lead, develop and manage health and safety input into reports, presentations, and briefings, to initiate informed decisions and update stakeholders
- responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the performance of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategy, policies, and controls

- working with Mild steel, as well as using electric/hand tools
- completing projects within a deadline
- conduct regular maintenance on vehicles
- build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
- inspect engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles
- conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- perform thorough maintenance checks and pre MOT checks
- management/supervisory experience
- NVQ or equivalent in Plant Maintenance
- follow company Risk Assessments and safe working procedures for tasks
- hold relevant and recognised qualification & experience for above duties
- wear appropriate company issued PPE at all times
- mechanical and engineering skills, including previous experience in plant maintenance
- knowledge of Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic systems
- required to undertake Drugs and Alcohol screening/tests
- carry out other duties as required
