Responsibility
- setting and Operating CNC Turning centre with G code controls
- setting and Operating Machining centre up to 4 axis with G code controls
- ensuring all health & safety and safe working practices are performed
- maintaining area cleanliness and identification of continuous improvement opportunities
- programming of new work as well as setting to existing programs for small batch runs, including tooling requirements, for a range of components from 1kg to 750kg produced in grey and nodular irons and aluminium
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar position as a CNC Turner
- good working knowledge of checking component dimensions using various inspection equipment
- good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and Engineering drawings is essential
- ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications
