- report directly to the Factory Manager
- sourcing materials from local and global suppliers
- building strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, securing supply contracts to achieve best commercial terms and contracts
- purchasing consumables, production parts, supplies, and equipment
- expedite open orders from suppliers
- develop strong working relationships with Engineering, Production, Planning, Sales & Finance departments
- monitoring ongoing spend against annual budgets and reporting to management team
- lead the purchasing team through prioritisation of tasks and planning orders of raw materials and parts to meet production schedule
