Responsibility

  • fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture
  • use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out tasks
  • ensure all work is plumb, level, and square to meet specifications
  • perform painting and finishing tasks on completed projects
  • collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and masons, to complete projects efficiently
  • conduct repairs on existing structures as required
  • maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery
  • strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices
  • ability to fabricate components accurately according to specifications
  • experience in painting and finishing techniques
  • knowledge of roofing systems is advantageous
  • familiarity with electrical installations is a plus
  • competent in masonry work would be beneficial but not essential
  • excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
