Responsibility
- this is a Monday to Friday position, with evening departures and morning returns
- the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods along the designated route
- safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle from Croydon to Birmingham and back on a daily basis
- adhere to the assigned schedule, departing in the evenings and returning by morning
- maintain a 12-hour shift, ensuring compliance with driving hours and working time directives
- conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness
- comply with health and safety guidelines and environmental regulations
- maintain a clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points on the license
Requirements
- minimum of 2 years' experience as an HGV Class 1 driver
- valid Full UK HGV Class 1 License, Digi-Card & DQC Card
- strong understanding of driving hours and working time directives
- ability to work independently and follow a designated schedule
