Responsibility
- review tender enquiries to determine scope of works & deadlines
- conduct quantity take-offs and source pricing information for materials and labour
- prepare cost estimates and proposals for projects, including materials, labour, and overhead costs
- assist with coordination with subcontractors and suppliers
- maintain and update project cost databases
- work closely with our Projects Development Team to ensure a smooth handover and that margins & programme dates are achieved
- participate in bid reviews and presentations to clients
- establishing & expanding on existing relationships with suppliers to achieve best value and commercial terms
Requirements
- previous experience in joinery or construction estimating preferred, but not required
- strong analytical and mathematical skills
- excellent administration and organisational skills with an eye for detail
- ability to prioritise
- excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- effective communication skills
- able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- the ability to work both on their own and part of a team
