Responsibility
- we are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our core team as it develops
- working with us requires a clear understanding of Safeguarding procedures
- this is a full-time position, with an average 40hrs per week worked on a rota basis, and some sleep-ins are required
- in return for your commitment, a wage paid at £12.30/hour is offered, with sleep-ins paid at £65/night
- to reward exceptional achievements and loyalty, a bonus scheme is in place
- you will be responsible for engaging with the children in every aspect of their daily lives, supporting them wherever they have a need
- you will be an important and influential part of a team in achieving positive developmental outcomes with the children, through understanding their needs, and working to agreed plans
- holiday entitlement is 28 days
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- minimum of 1 year of related experience required; greater experience preferred
- an understanding of autism and learning disabilities is essential
- experience of working with children and young people who exhibit challenging behaviour, and using positive behaviour management strategies
- autism/Learning Disability: 1 year
