Responsibility
- we are seeking a skilled and experienced Bench Joiner to join our team in Derby
- interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
- as a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for crafting and assembling wooden components to create high-quality furniture and fixtures

- operate a variety of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools to shape, cut, and assemble wooden components
- accurately measure, mark, and cut wood pieces to ensure precise fitting and alignment
- shape and mold wooden surfaces using techniques such as planing, sanding, and carving
- assemble wooden components using joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, and biscuit joints
- install hardware, fittings, and finishes to complete the final product
- inspect finished products for quality, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
- collaborate with colleagues, including designers and carpenters, to ensure effective project execution
- adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- proven experience as a Bench Joiner or similar role within the woodworking industry
- proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- excellent knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools
