chef/cook

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and customer preferences, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation
  • manage stock levels and ensure the availability of ingredients and supplies for daily operations
  • the Cook/Chef will be responsible for managing stock levels, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety regulations
  • conduct regular inventory checks, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with the management team to place orders when necessary
  • adhere to strict hygiene and food safety standards, following HACCP principles, to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • possess a comprehensive understanding of allergens and dietary restrictions, providing necessary information and recommendations to customers
  • complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including temperature sheets, daily diaries, and other relevant paperwork
  • collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and organize daily preparation and cooking schedules, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • level 2/3 Food Hygiene certificate to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • in-depth knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements, and the ability to adapt recipes accordingly
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and place orders as needed
  • proficient in completing relevant documentation, such as temperature sheets, daily diaries, and other necessary paperwork
  • excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • ability to work 5-6 days a week, from 4/5pm to 10/11pm, including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team and communicate with customers
