Requirements
- self-motivated and organised with excellent communication skills
- able to work to deadlines, demonstrating strong time management skills
- strong understanding and interest in AV and broadcasting technology
- technical knowledge of video/power cables standards
- basic electrical knowledge, including electrical wiring and soldering
- some knowledge of modern cinema cameras formats, resolutions and capture methods
- knowledge of Mac computer operating systems
- basic knowledge of terminal and coding is a bonus but not essential
Responsibility
- designing and building a range of Mission kit, including DIT, video playback and data management rigs
- working closely with our technicians to implement customisation as required
- providing technical support and assistance to technicians
- supporting and developing junior staff members
- assisting the Field Solutions Manager with day-to-day running of our in-house systems
- collaborating with all teams within Mission to ensure the smooth running of projects
- carrying out research and testing of new hardware and software tools
- setting up and/or assisting in demonstrations of kit for technicians, staff and clients
