- supporting the young people to maintain their tenancies
- supporting the young people in accessing the relevant support from agencies
- promoting positive and healthy relationships
- engaging the young people in social activities
- maintaining and completing paperwork in a timely manner
- working on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis with the young people
- acting as a positive role model
Requirements
- experience of working in a children’s residential setting or similar as a support worker - desirable
- A level 3 children and young people qualification - desirable
- be flexible in your working approach and hours when required to cover sickness - essential
- act as a positive role model for the young people - essential
- maintain a high standard of report writing and other paperwork required - essential
- be confident in yourself to challenge behaviour when required - essential
- develop and maintain good working relationships with outside agencies - essential
- support Environment: 1 year
