Responsibility
- to apply a social learning approach, in collaboration with team colleagues and under the supervision of the Lead for EduTherapy
- to complete structured observations and monitoring tools in line with service requirements
- to design personalised support programmes, in collaboration with the Lead for EduTherapy
- to support the delivery of a range of tasks in accordance with young people’s personalised programmes
- to facilitate social and communication skills through a ‘youth club’ style format
- to provide guidance and advice to parents/ carers with support from qualified staff
- to participate in in-housetraining and, following this, to complete cognitive. assessments under the supervision of qualified clinical psychology staff
- any other duties which may be required from time to time to support the operation of Midlands Psychology
Requirements
- first degree in Psychology
- knowledge of the social learning model advantageous
- knowledge and understanding of the factors that impact troubled young people
- experience dealing with confidential information
- excellent communication skills, spoken and written
- ability to relate to and empathise with a range of people
- compliance with the Data Protection Act
- excellent team working skills
