account manager

Responsibility

  • you would be working predominantly with our our Unified Endpoint Management and Collaboration portfolios
  • maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services more efficiently
  • this role is part of a close-knit global team, who share best practices and collaborate on diverse projects across regions
  • you may invest time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sales
  • we are in search of someone to join our sales team in the UK, that has a proven track record of building a territory, from a base of accounts
  • responsible for creating and driving their sales pipeline. Capture leads outside of specialization and use closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow- up by others
  • use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit
  • establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry

Education

  • university or Bachelor's degree
  • directly related previous work experience, in a driven sales role
  • demonstrated achievement in a similar sales environment, diversity of business customer, and higher-level customer interface
  • extensive selling experience within industry and on similar products
  • 3+ years of successful product sales in the software solution market

Requirements

  • understand the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated and integrate this knowledge into consultative selling
  • understand the role of IT within the area of specialization, and how our solutions differentiate Micro Focus in the industry
  • account planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills
  • collaborate with the management and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities
  • cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention & growth
  • develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
  • leverage services as part of strategic product sales
