field engineer
Responsibility
- designing, manufacturing and testing of job specific tooling and equipment
- carrying out and reporting machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and conduct planned preventative maintenance on equipment
- providing mechanical assistance to breakdowns as required
- conducting mechanical engineering tasks in the workshop which includes CNC operation, Lathe operations, TIG/MIG welding etc. as required
- completing Meyn specific equipment training
- following all health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe, clean and tidy work area including all tools and issued workwear
Requirements
- attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
- A quick learner with an interest to develop
- effective communication skills
- effective time management skills, particularly when working onsite
- flexibility and a willingness around working hours at short notice
- strong customer skills with a focus on quality
