Responsibility

  • provide technical guidance on industry best practices and tooling
  • provide expert technical front-end guidance on industry best practices and tooling
  • support engineering and product leads to define and prioritise epics that help us meet business objectives
  • coordinate with engineering and product leads to define and prioritise epics that help us meet business objectives
  • promote and coach good engineering practices
  • write and review code which is easily readable, testable, and maintainable
  • promote robust testing techniques for production ready code
  • recommend and deliver product and process improvements

Requirements

  • understand and investigate requirements rapidly, devising the most appropriate design for a solution
  • demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to come up with creative solutions
  • be proficient in putting forward ideas and opinions, and have a passion for technology
  • any of the following experience, skills and understanding would be an advantage in this role, but are not essential
  • experience working with Linux operating systems
  • worked to help design and implement data-intensive applications
  • worked on distributed systems in the past and have an idea of tools that are currently used in the field
  • experience managing infrastructure as code on a public cloud
