Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • finalise preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • preparation of the budget, forecasts, and reporting on variances
  • the Financial Controller will also be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the business, including cashflow and overhead control
  • attend monthly board meetings and contribute to the improved performance of the business as part of the senior leadership team
  • management of the finance team
  • liaise with external auditors for completion of annual audited accounts
  • we are recruiting a Financial Controller for a portfolio company that we are set to shortly acquire. The business is a £20m t/o distributor near Birmingham
  • the Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial management of the company including, but not limited to, the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting

Requirements

  • fully qualified accountant
  • previous FC experience would be preferable, but not required. We will consider an ambitious candidate looking to step up from a management accountant role, or an external auditor looking to make the move into an industry role
