Responsibility
- the Purchasing Manager will have overall accountability of the Meridian Medical warehouses and its inventory
- meridian has doubled in size over the past 5 years, and we are setting the foundations to continue this growth
- supplier delivery performance management
- developing purchasing strategy
- you will have full control of implementing purchasing strategies to meet your key objectives
- building and managing supplier relationships
- managing the Stores and Despatch team
- you will ensure the Stock Controller, Buyer, and Despatch teams meet the required company objectives and ensure accuracy of the stock values
Requirements
- previous experience of managing a purchasing spend of over £10,000,000 annually
- knowledge of ISO9001 and ideally ISO13485
- minimum CIPS level 3 advanced certificate
- excellent verbal & written communication skills
- excellent computer skills
- ideally experience working in a heavily regulated industry
- procurement: 5 years
- full driving licence and ability to travel to supplier sites
