Purchase Ledger / Office Assistant Chesterfield
One of the East Midlands Leading Groundworks subcontractors are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger/Office Assistant to join our busy team.Duties to include;· Matching delivery tickets to invoices. Requesting POD’s.· Processing invoices and credit notes using manual and computer methods and entering on to Sage.· Coding and inputting of invoices.· Reconcile supplier accounts and investigating/ correcting any discrepancies.· Resolving supplier queries by phone and e-mail.· Answering the telephone, re-directing calls, and taking messages.· Dealing with weekly paperwork from sites· Checking labour timesheets· Opening and distributing incoming post and electronic mail.· General Filing and filing of invoices.· Archiving documents.· Answering the door and greeting visitors.· Assisting other members of staff as required.· General administrative dutiesRole Requirements· Have prior Purchase Ledger Clerk experience· Ability to manage high volumes of invoices· Experience in accounting software (Sage)· Computer literate in Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word)· Be self-motivated and highly organised· Possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written· Be able to work to tight deadlines when required· Be able to time manage and prioritise your work load· Be driven to completing tasks and have a meticulous eye for detailSummaryWe are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase ledger / Office Assistant, though all levels of experience will be considered.The successful applicant will join a small team and report directly to the directors of the business.Experience in the construction industry is preferred although not essential.
