Responsibility
- be willing to deliver gardening lessons to students depending on experience
- control of weeds, moss and ivy around the Centre site and the general upkeep and tidiness of the site
- seasonal planting, as per the site’s needs
- to liaise with Head Groundsman to ensure work is carried out within agreed budgets
- use and basic maintenance of machinery including tractors, mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers etc., and hand tools
- to develop and restore the walled garden adjacent to the grounds at Knowle Hall, with the intention of using the area as a learning facility for students
- applying chemicals as directed taking into account COSHH regulations
- producing and perform risk assessments on work process carried out within the walled garden
