Responsibility
ensure the service meets all CQC standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with legislation, policies, and best practices
work with HR to ensure staff files are kept updated – not limited to onboarding requirements, training certifications and skills matrix
ensure all safeguarding protocols are strictly followed and that all incidents are reported and addressed in a timely manner
take immediate action in the event of any safeguarding issues, reporting to the appropriate authorities when necessary
implement and monitor risk management processes, maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify and address areas for improvement, and lead the service through CQC inspections with the support of the Medical Director
prepare compliance reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders, and coordinate the response to data breaches or incidents, including notification and remediation activities as required by law/
Requirements
must hold current CQC registration or be willing to complete registration upon hiring
level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a healthcare or social care setting
thorough understanding of CQC standards, regulatory frameworks, and safeguarding procedures
excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high standards of care and professionalism
