Responsibility

  • MCM Engineering Ltd is an expanding steel fabrication business looking to employ an fabricator/welder to join our small team
  • the ideal candidate will have a a minimum of 2-3 years experience in welding and fabrication
  • we manufacture a wide range of steel products mainly in mild steel, but also including stainless steel and aluminium
  • all our welders must be able to weld to good standard and will be expected to be weld tested and certified
  • A weekly attendance bonus is also paid
  • we are looking for a confident, reliable and skilled welder/fabricator who must be flexible in their work practices to join our growing team
  • the ideal candidate must be able to read from drawings, have good marking out, assembly and welding skills with the ability to fabricate various steel products from simple brackets to complex structural steel beams, columns, trusses, tanks, platforms, staircases and bespoke products made to customers specifications
  • hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm and Fridays 6am to 12pm - 40 hours per week. Overtime is available on a regular basis and is paid at time and half after working 40 hours
