Responsibility
- underwrite new and renewal business for Specie business including any mid-term adjustments
- performing statistical analysis of the account. Researching information in support of underwriting decisions
- attend client and broker presentations and meetings to further relationships and enhance knowledge of the risk
- A fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join the Specie team of our growing Lloyd's Syndicate in the City. You will be working alongside a top Underwriting team who have an outstanding reputation in this business class
- work with team to develop relationships with key brokers
- attend Lloyds box as may be required
- renewal list management
- preparation of front sheet information for UW comments
Requirements
- you should ideally be DIP CII qualified and working your way to ACII accreditation
- A good understanding of all four Specie sub-classes would be highly beneficial
- you will also have a high standard of IT and communication skills
- good organisation skills and be a great team player
- you will also have a proven interest in building a career within the London Insurance Market
- to apply for this position, you will ideally have 3-5 years' experience working within London market Specie practice within a Lloyds syndicate, insurance company or broking house
