Responsibility
- portraying a positive image of the company in a professional manner at all times
- maintenance and repair of container handling equipment at the Port of Felixstowe
- to carry out reactive maintenance and repairs in a timely, and safe manner
- to carry out planned maintenance in a timely and safe manner
- install heavy engineering plant using lifting equipment in compliance with company policies
- work to provide efficient running of mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment
- achieve acceptable standards of workmanship and productivity
- to report to the line manager any faults or maintenance required on plant and equipment
Requirements
- knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering disciplines/processes
- experience of working with heavy plant and equipment
- competent use of tools and equipment
- able to work safely and efficiently under pressure
- excellent and confident communication skills
- ability to work using own initiative with minimal supervision
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- full UK driving licence
