ROLE MATCHESFASHION is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a fast-growing app engineering team. We are a growing team that is looking to create and craft an incredible iOS & Android experience. Your leadership will help a growing and hybrid working department deliver exceptional value to our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Be both highly technical and an effective people manager Hiring, growing, and retaining top talent. In particular, mentoring and coaching a distributed group of engineers, while taking ownership of Interviewing and hiring to grow our team Participating in technical design, driving engineering initiatives and owning product quality. Actively shaping & influencing product & platform strategy Acting as point person for the team, when interfacing with Product, Customer care, peer engineering teams and other parts of the organisation Making and meeting commitments to quality and on-pace delivery of new product features Providing clear communication to your team, and the business about the progress and vision Coaching, leading and continually improving Scrum/Agile processes KEY SKILLS At least 7 years’ experience

ROLE Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Engineering Manager leads a high performing software engineering team, responsible for build and support of internal systems at MATCHESFASHION. You will work closely with the tech leads and product managers across the technology function to maximise cross-team collaboration Working closely with the Product Manager to define the roadmap and manage the technical backlog, you will also work directly with business stakeholders to manage expectations, provide technical support, as well as providing protection to the engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the point of escalation for project risks and issues (including major incident management) Work closely with the Product Manager to understand priorities and upcoming roadmap items for delivery, providing technical input where necessary Work with the engineering team to define tech roadmap, and work with the product manager to ensure it is delivered alongside business requirements Act as hiring manager for the team and manage resourcing needs to support delivery of the roadmap Manage and improve release processes.
