Responsibility
- HR Responsibilities Support the HR Manager with confidential HR administration
- each home has 14 residents and a high staff to resident ratio, ensuring the highest standards of care
- inform and/or escalate to the HR Manager, as required

- liaise with hiring managers regarding the recruitment process; keeping them and the HR Manager informed with progress at all times
- we also have our own therapy team consisting of Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, music and aromatherapy specialists
- prepare and place recruitment adverts , as requested by the HR Manager; monitor response rates and produce monthly reports
- conduct telephone screening interviews, as required
- forward applications received to hiring managers for shortlisting
- at Martha Trust Hereford Ltd we provide lifelong care for individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities in our two, purpose built, nursing homes in the beautiful county of Herefordshire
- create shortlisting grids and interview templates
- check and respond in a timely manner to HR queries , received in person, via email, by telephone or by letter
- plan and organise interviews, including tours and trial shifts, if applicable; confirm with applicants and hiring manager/s
- the successful candidate will also provide administration support to our Finance Manager, including collating and processing data for our monthly payroll
- respond to all applicants, in a timely manner, preferably by email
- this new role would suit an organised and methodical administrator, preferably with experience of working in a confidential environment
- process pre-employment checks, including DBS checks, references, medical questionnaires, professional registration, eligibility to work in the UK
- our main priority in HR at Martha Trust Hereford is to attract, recruit and retain a team who share our values, behaviours and attitudes
- prepare all recruitment and onboarding paperwork for successful candidates, including offer letters, employment contracts, etc
- liaise with hiring manager/s and training and development colleagues, regarding start dates, induction, uniform and onboarding
- attention to detail and confidentiality are key attributes; along with good communication skills
- we are currently recruiting for a part-time HR Administrator, to support our HR Manager in delivering day to day generalist HR activities; including recruitment, onboarding, maintaining HR records and employee welfare and wellbeing; in a rewarding, but complex and demanding environment
- our staff need to be caring, patient, kind and keen to improve lives….and we want to support them in achieving this
- previous working knowledge of Sage payroll, plus time and attendance systems, would be advantageous
- liaise with the Finance Manager regarding setting-up new starters on Sage payroll

- process all new starter administration, including setting-up new starter files and updating the HR database/spreadsheet
- shred/delete applicant details after 6 months confidentially
