- this role sits within the Data, Technology, and Innovation Team, part of the Digital & Analysis Directorate
- dealing with marine pollution emergencies, including oil spills
- collate, prioritise, disseminate and deliver on high level actions as appropriate
- strategic Planning – Lead the planning of projects to a high standard, ensuring that key milestones are baselined
- helping to prevent illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing worldwide
- you will also represent MMO business needs in Defra Group digital and data transformation activities
- producing marine plans to include all marine activities, including those we don’t directly regulate
- take active ownership of the development, delivery and management of Regional Fisheries Groups , working with HEO counterparts, within the team and contribute in the effective delivery of the MMO’s ‘delivering sustainable fishing opportunities’ service

- the roles will lead the delivery of the MMO’s statutory responsibilities relating to the coordination and delivery of the MMO/Defra Regional Fisheries Groups

- delivery Lead - Lead & oversee the delivery of Change Projects within MMO’s Portfolio of Change, providing effective leadership and management controls
- you will work closely with colleagues across the DTI team, to coordinate and champion your inter-related services
- you will use agile service and product owner skills and techniques to discover user needs and lead the strategic development and technical implementation of geospatial data, metadata and GIS solutions across the organisation
- reporting – Produce detailed highlight reports providing Programme Board with confidence and assurance that the delivery of organisational change is on track, and risks are understood and effectively managed

- assist with the coordination and development of any fisheries management trials that the group is involved with for example community quota or effort trials, leading on its implementation if required
- business Case - Deliver agreed Business Case benefits and outcomes, ensuring appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the Business Case
- develop a GI community of practice to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency in GI analysis and management across the MMO
