housekeeping supervisor
Working hours

Responsibility
- to be responsible for scheduling rotas for all housekeeping staff
- to liaise with the recruitment coordinator re the recruitment of any housekeeping team members
- to report any faults, loss or damage to equipment, paying particular attention to electrical appliances, cable and sockets
- manage the ordering of supplies of cleaning equipment and ensure records are kept up to date and accurate
- supervise the housekeeping team to ensure that all areas of the home are cleaned to the highest standards and in accordance with the planned cleaning / laundry schedule and infection control guidance
- to oversee the running of the laundry service and the servicing of the laundry equipment
- undertake the role of fire marshal to ensure that there is a safe evacuation of your area in the event of a fire in the workplace, ensuring that an evacuation plan is in place e, and that all staff are familiar with it
- ensure the housekeeping team provide a homely, clean and hygienic environment for residents and their families by motivating the team and resolving any issues for them that occur
