Responsibility
- act as Duty Manager, when necessary, during museum Open Hours, including occasional Sunday working
- shared responsibility with other staff members for emergency out-of-hours callouts
- liaise with Board Secretary to arrange Board meetings and provide reports to same
- any other reasonable duties at the discretion of the Trustees
- oversee and finalise yearly accounts in liaison with the trustees
- liaise with Letting Agent on management of the privately-rented apartment
- liaise with professional advisors to plan and manage the maintenance and ongoing refurbishment of the buildings
- overall responsibility
Requirements
- lead and reinforce the development of a strong brand associated with The Jenner Trust
- overall responsibility for development of events and visitor experience
- experience of working in a museum or other visitor-facing heritage/tourism setting
- demonstrable success in income generation in a heritage/tourism setting
- experience of preparing and delivering grant-funded projects and administering grant funds and fundraising activities
- excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- self -starter with good organisational, planning and project management skills
- budget management in a small organisation
