- apply for police reports
- run the cases from instruction, obtaining relevant evidence to support liability and quantum
- use our case management system, Proclaim, to set up all new instructions received
- review CCTV footage

- identify, locate and save to our file, relevant documents from the insurer file
- liaise with clients regularly to obtain instructions, to advise and to update
- accurately input case details into our case management system

- assist with incoming calls to collate uninsured losses and assess liability

- we are seeking an New Claims Administrator/Instructions Handler within our team in Orpington who can demonstrate good communication skills across all levels and work well as part of a team and willing to cover for colleagues in their absence
- assist with outgoing and incoming calls to collate any additional information required
- dealing with all correspondence
- assist the Litigation Team
- draft and Issue Court proceedings and Court documentation
- prepare nonstandard written correspondence to a high standard
- answering calls promptly in an enthusiastic, courteous and efficient manner
- monitor files on hold due to outstanding claims
- effectively and efficiently work a to do list
- book and instruct Counsel to attend hearings
- identifying and responding to the needs of customers, resolving queries where possible
- act in a professional manner at all times
- carry out the work required within the relevant SLAs with our work referrers
- carry out the work required within service standards
- allocate settlement funds
- provide cover for the admin/reception team when needed
- complete appropriate file closure processes
- undertake appropriate training and development in relation to the role
- we invest heavily in training and supporting our staff development along with keeping our technical expertise up to date
- adhoc duties of a reasonable nature which may be requested from time to time
- preparing evidence for hearing including witness statements

Requirements
- minimum of one years litigation experience
- good working knowledge of credit hire
- cradle-to-grave experience of a litigated credit hire portfolio from issuing proceedings through to trial and all stages in between
