we are looking for individuals who are highly confident in working with children with complex additional needs and potentially challenging behaviours
making A Difference provides short breaks in the community and family support for children and young people with disabilities and/or behaviours that challenge
we are looking for individuals who are highly confident in working with children with complex additional needs and are currently recruiting specifically for a young girl, age 6 with Dravett's Syndrome
this is a service for families that delivers both stimulating activities and support to children and young people in the community and at home so parents can take a break from their caring role
she also has GDD, Epilepsy, and has a speech delay although she is verbal and uses Makaton and PEC's to communicate her needs
the support we are looking for would be based at her home in Rochester and would consist of getting her ready for school and helping with some of the other siblings in the home
flexible hours are available every weekend and there is also the opportunity to work full time hours during Half terms & Summer holidays
it is a very busy household so we are looking for someone who not only can be helpful, organised and great with children but who can also set good boundaries
Education
GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
monday - Friday Term Time - 7.30am-8.30am
special needs: 1 year
