Requirements
- 18th edition wiring regs
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably with experience in temporary electrical systems
- must posses a CIS number and have a valid CSCS/ECS card
- electrical expertise: Possess a valid electrician's certification
- electrical: 3 years
- knowledge of construction standards: Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices specific to construction sites
Responsibility
- ensure electrical safety: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical hazards, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes
- troubleshoot and repair: Diagnose and repair electrical problems in temporary structures, including wiring, circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting systems
- perform preventative maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks on temporary electrical systems to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
- coordinate with project team: Collaborate closely with contractors, project managers to understand their electrical requirements and provide effective solutions
- manage electrical supplies: Monitor stock levels of electrical supplies, tools, and equipment and ensure their availability for smooth operations
- document and report: Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and inspections as per company procedures. Prepare reports as required
- install and set up temporary electrical systems: Install temporary power distribution panels, generators, transformers, and other temporary electrical equipment based on project requirements
