  • experience as a technician in a high-tech or scientific environment
  • experience with hand tools and power tools
  • organized and reliable

Responsibility

  • machining: Small machining jobs for prototype hardware with power tools, and desktop machines
  • lab management: Ensure that the lab is tidy, organized and stocked. Ensure that risk assessments are implemented. Perform regular maintenance and checks on machines
  • assisting with tests: Working with engineering and science teams to assist with tests, including assembling prototypes, setting up the vacuum chamber, working in the cleanrooms and helping to qualify space hardware
  • experience in a safety critical role, fire Marshall or first aider training
