  • either currently holding NVQ level 2 or working towards the qualification
  • experience of working with older people and a willingness to learn
  • providing care: 3 years
  • medication administration: 3 years

Responsibility

  • report both verbally and in writing on service users general condition and well being
  • maintain a clean and safe environment for service users and staff
  • maintain records and daily events on each shift
  • support the service users to make their beds and maintain their rooms
  • support the service users in the collection of specimens and samples when needed
  • support the service users for medical and professional staff as may be required
  • administer and record the medications to the service users
  • support service users in maintaining their personal hygiene, dressing and going to bed
