- you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing Platform and Infrastructure solutions
- monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise HPC nodes
- automated testing, data flow checks and balances to verify data as it flows through the workflow
- hands-on configuring and installing new nodes, storage, infrastructure components, and HPC software
- this includes System Admin level capabilities in firewalls/switches/VPNs, Linux and Windows servers, virtualisation and cloud, storage arrays and Microsoft Active Directory
- resolve key data issues, finding appropriate solutions in keeping with project deadlines and prior to anticipated implementation timescales
- undergo preventative maintenance to guarantee the systems are fully operational
- 2nd and 3rd line technical support, undertaking corrective maintenance as necessary to restore any failed equipment to full working order

- 2nd and 3rd line technical support, such as corrective maintenance as required to restore any failed equipment to full working order from an in-house perspective as well as working with third party vendors, therefore you may be required for out of hours unplanned availability
- perform a gap analysis of any technical and security gaps on the current end-to-end architecture and recommend appropriate solutions
- maintain detailed documentation, to effectively manage solutions with minimal escalations
- participate in technical workshops and planning meetings
- providing the customers with a reasoned and technologically sound set of solution options from which one can be selected to meet the business need
- estimations for project management and status reporting including risks, issues and costs
- solution design options for new initiatives, produce High Level Designs for each option adhering to Technology principles and standards, and support Project Managers with the Technical ROM costs
