Responsibility
- developing and managing the net zero budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources for initiatives, projects, and ongoing monitoring
- leading the development, delivery and execution of strategies to achieve net zero carbon emissions across local authority clients, specifically the SCC estate
- seek external funding opportunities and grants to support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in sustainability practices
- undertaking detailed energy audits and feasibility studies and investigations to produce accurate, quality reports detailing the improvements necessary to reduce energy use and carbon dioxide
- about you
- creating targeted plans for the highest carbon footprint assets and identify the most cost-effective way that carbon can be reduced in these sites
- creating an overall carbon reduction plan that demonstrates current carbon performance and the impact of the proposed changes to SCC’s overall carbon performance and a long-term five-year carbon reduction plan that identifies how the client can achieve the 2030 net zero carbon targets
- you have knowledge of practical experience across Technical Facilities Management projects
