Responsibility
- establish and review policies, procedures, and processes in compliance with PRA and FCA regulations and provide employees with trainings

- collaborating with trading and front office to embed the Operational Risk Frameworks
- implement, monitor and regularly review the firm’s Risk Management Framework including Risk Appetite Statement and risk scoring methodology
- provide challenge to model assumptions, implementation and mathematical formulation
- oversee the delivery of the programme for the 1st line and provide oversight of testing plans
- responsible for ensuring the Reconciliations function achieves compliance with CASS and MiFID rules
- collate, validate and assist in the delivering the monthly operational risk management packs
- to support the embedding of the principles of Outsourcing and TPRM in the business units
- escalate to the CRO any emerging risks identified as part of ongoing monitoring of business risks
- review all Models and EUCs and ensure they are fit for purpose, including validation of specific models
- supporting the Head of 1st Line Risk
- accountable for running an effective control environment, overseeing processes and controls which ensure good client outcomes
- assist in the collation of Operational Risk input for ICAAP reporting
- implement the company's strategies on business continuity, resilience, and overall operation, satisfying regulatory requirements
- liaise with IT function on network security and information technology management to ensure smooth operations
- support in shaping the Model Risk Strategy
- provide leadership and direction to immediate reports, and the Reconciliations function as a whole
- streamlining relevant policies and developing the Operational Risk Frameworks
- support the fulfilment of Customer Duty, including customer identification, preference and needs analysis, and customer protection in all operational processes

- minimum 5 years of work experience in the UK insurance or other financial services companies

- prior experience in Technology & Cyber Risk or audit, preferably within the financial services industry or consultancy
- experience in department management or property insurance experience is preferred
- broad understanding of cyber threats and trends
- relevant insurance qualification or operational management qualification
