Responsibility
§ Attend client meetings and tastings, with preparations made for budgeting and logistics, purchasing and client special requirements
§ Remain actively involved in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared
§ Determine food presentation alongside Development and Executive Chefs
§ Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
§ Ensure proper purchasing, receiving and food storage standards in the kitchens
§ Overseeing all event preparations and upcoming projects within the business. Responsibilities for this will include hiring, training, setup of venue, menus, costings and any other tasks as required
§ Ensuring sufficient staffing levels are scheduled to accommodate business demands
§ Administer the training, development and motivation to the kitchen teams in order to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis
Requirements
§ Utilise interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence kitchen staff
§ Effectively manage own workload unsupervised and deliver to key deadlines as necessary
§ Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time
§ Experience as an Events Head Chef or Events Sous Chef
§ Experience in a Michelin Star Kitchen
§ Display exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment, counselling employees as appropriate and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to management
