Responsibility

  • we are currently seeking a talented and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team at Lumley Castle
  • as a Breakfast Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional breakfast experiences for our guests
  • create classic English breakfast dishes, including eggs Benedict, kippers, and porridge
  • ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to our high standards of quality and consistency
  • the working pattern will be 5 out of 7 days, 6am until 12noon plus paid overtime if required
  • follow recipes and adhere to proper cooking techniques to deliver exceptional flavours and textures
  • coordinate and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient breakfast service
  • monitor and maintain inventory of breakfast ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability

Requirements

  • in-depth knowledge of English breakfast cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple breakfast orders simultaneously
  • attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality breakfast dishes
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar role, with a strong focus on breakfast cuisine, including traditional English breakfast
  • cooking: 1 year
