Responsibility
- as a Chef, you will plan menus and prepare or oversee the preparation of food in our venue for cultural events
- responsible for requisitions or purchases and examining foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality
- reviewing the menu and doing inventory and following the budget set by the Restaurant Manager
- monitoring food production and food and staff costs
- plans menus, prepares, seasons and cooks’ foodstuffs or oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes
- preparing the food for cooking
- keeping up with industry trends and creating new recipes
- ensuring standard portions and quality of dishes
Requirements
- professional diploma or a bachelor level degree or proven prior experience as a Chef
- excellent verbal and communication skills and should have the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
- leadership skills
- ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
- creativity to create dishes on brand with the restaurant
- knowledge of different varieties of foods and ingredients
- ability to accept criticism
- ability to maintain an extremely sanitary environment while working
