• maintain stock levels
• create drink menus
• create the bar team rota

• ensure bar is well-stocked and clean
• tracks customer behaviour and sales
• maintain budget and monitor costs
• maintain drink recipe documentation
• oversee planning for special events
• appropriately delegate tasks to staff
• select and purchase alcohol and other supplies
• oversee staff, including bartenders and barbacks, and, in some cases, wait staff, and/or kitchen staff as well
• hire, train, promote, and, when necessary, discipline or fire staff
• select music and provide input on décor and marketing, including social media and other forms of publicity
• initiate and maintain vendor relationships
