Responsibility
- provide emotional, physical, and social support to children and young people in the Children's Home
- ensure the safety and security of the children, following safeguarding procedures
- assist with daily routines, including personal care, meals, medication administration, and recreational activities
- contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans
- understand behaviour management strategies and support children in managing challenging behaviours
- maintain accurate records and effectively communicate with the team
- respond promptly to crisis situations and ensure the well-being of the children
- engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- full manual UK driving licence
- flexibility to work on rota basis, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and sleep shifts
- experience working with children or young people preferred but not necessary
- compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children and young people
- ability to handle situations and remain calm under pressure
- excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- relevant background checks, including a DBS check will be issued and paid by the company
