Responsibility
- title – Domiciliary Care – Support Worker
- hours – Varies to suit individual employee
- reporting to – Service manager
- companionship: Foster meaningful relationships with clients, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
- mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility and transfers as required, utilizing appropriate aids and techniques to ensure their safety
- domestic Support: Help clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean living space
- record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, changes in clients' conditions, and any relevant observations or incidents
- communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- previous experience in a domiciliary care setting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for caring for others
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues
- ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility in scheduling
- basic knowledge of health and safety standards and infection control measures
- willingness to undergo relevant training and development to enhance your skills as required by the company
