Responsibility
- we are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our dynamic management team
- as an early years professional our nursery is committed to ensuring continuous professional development for all its staff
- A high degree of sensitivity to children and families is also essential to be successful within this role
- this is an amazing opportunity for an experienced room leader/senior looking for a new challenge or for an existing deputy searching for a new setting to support and help with its growth
- the successful candidate will work closely with the Provision Manager and the Childcare & Business Manager whilst also being required to work independently to ensure the smooth running of the nursery on a daily basis when the manager is absent
- you will also be required to work within the rooms from time to time to support other members of the staffing team
- the successful candidate also needs to be confident to make decisions whilst considering the reputation of the nursery and the impact this may have
Requirements
- A full and relevant level 3 qualification
- A level 5/6 is desirable but not essential
- DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
- minimum 2 years experience of working as a room leader or previous experience of working as a deputy manager
- paediatric First Aid Trained Safeguarding training
- provide operational management of the nursery facilities and staff alongside the nursery manager
- ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is delivered at all times
- each applicant will be expected to undertake compliance checks including Prohibited list, Barred list, DBS and Qualifications
