- filling out COSH forms correctly for any children with serious allergies before food is served
- help with the serving of meals
- clearing and cleaning of pots and cooking utensils
- maintain the kitchen and food hygiene as well as health and safety of the kitchen
- responsible for the preparation and cooking of mid-morning and mid afternoon snack, lunch and tea for all children. numbers of children vary between 20 and 40 per day
- taking responsibility of equipment e.g. cooker, extractor fan and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout
- preparing and cooking of alternative meals for children with special dietary needs and baby weaning as directed by staff and Senior Managers
- cleaning and clearing the dining room after snack and meals
