- providing effective leadership by implementing organisational strategies to enable the objectives of Haven Care Group to be achieved
- taking a ‘person-centred’ approach in supporting Service Users
- to be a valuable member of the team ensuring good customer care and looking to improve the service we deliver
- to participate in the decision making process concerning future plans for each service user within their home environment
- setting and reviewing targets and objectives for the home’s staff team to ensure work is focused and has clear direction
- meeting the requirements of our Policies and Procedures
- to be able to achieve goals and tasks and be able to cope under high pressure situations
- to prepare reports and to participate in case reviews on each service user
- maximising the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development, and the application of Haven Care Group personnel policies
- ensuring the protection of the Vulnerable Adults policies and procedures are acted upon as a primary consideration
- to ensure that service user’s medication is administered as prescribed by the General Practitioner for Action for Care Limited
- reporting concerns and raising questions, when in doubt
- to undertake all necessary training, induction and follow the policies and procedures
- to undertake ‘Keyworker’ responsibilities
- providing operational management of the staff team and deploying appropriate staff resources in order that key tasks are fulfilled
- following Service User Care Plans
- having line management responsibilities for a staff team, ensuring that all staff receive appropriate induction, supervision, and appraisal
- the health and safety of the Service User, their colleagues and themselves
- you will work as part of a dynamic and diverse team of individuals to meet people’s needs in a person-centred way, supporting a group of eight adults with a Learning Disability, complex needs, challenging behaviours and/or Autism
- to provide a professional and residential care service to all Service Users and to promote the development of the individual’s full potential
- promoting the practice of working in partnership with young people, their families, other Haven Care Group staff, and other agencies, in order to meet the needs of young people
- to ensure that high standards of professional care and practices for service users are established and maintained, including appropriate attention to their physical, cultural, social, educational, recreational and emotional needs
- to undertake sleeping-in duties
- to participate in and contribute to staff training and development programmes as and when required
- to follow plans of care including medication administration and be a component in keeping records in a safe and effective manner that maintains and improves the life of the service user
- taking a lead role in setting standards and evaluating achievements; to take a proactive role in securing improvements in the quality of services provided by Haven Care Group
- to assist as necessary in the overall running of the home and to provide assistance where necessary
- to deploy volunteers effectively and supervise students and trainees as appropriate
- to promote and contribute towards effective communication within the residential staff team and between service user and staff, to ensure that continuity of care is maintained
- to assist in fostering, developing and maintaining contacts within the local community
- when supporting service users in the community on activities, lunch is provided
- being responsible for ensuring a full flow of information into and out of the team and to develop effective communication strategies and systems that assist staff in the operation of their duties
- to contribute towards the maintenance of sound administrative practices within the home; to establish and maintain a detailed case recording system for each resident
